Illustrated Themes and Findings
We worked with an artist, with experience in participatory research projects, to represent some of the project’s findings through visual artworks. This was a lengthy process, which involved many rounds of respectful, generous, and generative dialogue about draft images, which were re-shaped multiple times according to women’s detailed feedback.
This approach greatly enriched our research project, and the illustrations make women’s knowledges more accessible to a broader audience, beyond the scope of a traditional academic paper. Both the process and the product of this creative exchange were designed to maximise the real-world outcomes of the project.
